The beginnings of The Shining Ones
Most of us today don't even ask ourselves, how come there are spontaneous "similarities" in our traditions, symbolism, beliefs and ideas all over the World. Facts that are speaking on the behalf of this are that today’s system of beliefs are almost the same all over the World. Apart from this, there are also similar monuments of early civilizations, like pyramidal structures in Egypt, South America, China etc. We must also mention highly sophisticated rituals, like the ones that were using red ochre which can be found all over the planet (South France, South Africa, Switzerland, North America, Turkey and many other). Age of bones that were found at the remains of this rituals, can be estimated around 46.000 BC. These rituals show that our ancestors understood cycles of life and death. This ritual was explained in details in the book "The Story of The Great Mother" so we will not go into details here. But, can we find in our mind the grain of belief that our monkey-like ancestor could have all that knowledge?
From all of these we can conclude that this knowledge came from somebody who was highly developed. In many ancient texts we can find a mention of those highly developed people. They are known under names like "Shaman" in Tungus (Siberia), or "Shamana" in Pali (this is form of Indo-Arian language) that all derive from ancient Sanskrit’s word "Sramana", which means "the one who knows" or in Slavic term which can be translated "to become ecstatic". We will call them here "The Shining Ones".
Ancient Shining One in his (or hers) community had more functions like: healer, seer, priest and magician. He (or she) was capable to face energies from the "other world" and could "talk" with Gods, similar like avatars and prophets did later in other religions. He or she could also heal using ancient techniques. Today we know that a lot of techniques and means (like hallucinogen drugs) that can induce altered states or experiences draw its roots all the way to 50.000 BC.
The Inner Sun
Universal phenomena of Sun worship in all beliefs are directly linked to inner awakening or experience of enlightening. Of this process of enlightenment Buddha, Christ and many other mystical avatars spoke often.
For ancient people, Sun which meant life, also represented "Inner Sun" which The Shining One starts to see in the moment of enlightenment. This moment is also known as "void", and it is situated just 3 fingers higher than the top of our head. All of "Immortal" Gods and Goddesses of ancient Egypt were depicted with Sun disc above their heads. The disk was situated at the same place as this spot of enlightenment is. Sometimes this sun disc was depicted encircled with snake, uraetus, which is usually showed at tip of the forehead. This symbolically represents "third eye", transcendental state and wisdom of The Shining One.
This early representation of Sun around the head was later developed into halo of rays of light, like we can find on so many pictures of Christ, heads of Gods, mystics, saints and avatars in Christian and mystical Hindu iconography.
It was obvious that the Sun which gives life, in the centre of our Solar system, corresponds to bright "Inner light" that can be experienced during the act of enlightenment. Outer Sun reflected inner sun, giving the information that we really posses inner light which sustains us. What it also meant was that our lives are placed in between (they are in balance) these two Suns.
Early people also worshiped physical Sun, but The Shining Ones and mystics understood the real meaning of this solar esteem. Inner sun was the one that made person enlightened.
The truth is that we are all connected trough this inner experience with which we can achieve enlightenment. We don’t need intermediary like church or a teacher in order to experience it. From here we can trance the fact of exploitation of followers and power of intermediary which in this way take power from the individual. The individual surrenders its own strength willingly because they think they don’t deserve it.
On the other hand, in order to accomplish enlightenment it is necessary to awaken the divine in ourselves. This divinity gives us understanding of processes and techniques with which it is possible to initiate the process of enlightenment. This divinity is woman or consort of this Sun God (inner sun), and that is Goddess Moon or Mother of all of us.
She is worshiped as "Goddess Mother" and she unites with God of Heaven and preserves cycle of life and death. She is also Goddess Moon and that is because the moon cycles corresponded with blood cycles of woman. She was the initiator of knowledge. She was worshiped in ancient Sumeria as Ninkharsag, in Egypt like Isis, in India as Kali. She was identified as Matronit or Shekinah in Gnostic Sophia, and these are just some of hers manifestations.
This mysterious strength of woman which led to early divine cults was connected with her fertility and her role in giving life. As all people are born trough woman it is natural to believe that she is closer to the very source of existence and mysteries of life, sex and death. Menstrual blood always symbolized strength because it was believed that this blood flowed from original source of creation. It was considered so strong that even Church was scared of it. From 9th to 11th century Christian Churches didn’t want to give communion to women that were menstruating. Even red wine which was given to people trough sacrament during the Christian mass is based on taking menstruating blood. This blood was taken from Sumerian snake or "Goddess Snake" called Ninkharsag. But we will not talk about this too much since this also was described in details in the book "The Story of The Great Mother".
In case of experiences of awakening, this interaction between God and Goddess symbolizes union or fusion between consciousness connected with male principle and sub consciousness connected with female principle. This fusion in the head has a corresponding side in physical area and that is sexual act of creating the baby. Early Shining Ones understood that, in order to create a child from within or to experience rebirth and to see with eyes of the child inside other worlds and in the end to experience inner light of enlightenment, male consciousness must enter into woman’s subconsciousness. More important it is always needed to be aware and it is necessary to be awake during these inner processes of fusion.
What is needed to emphasize is that this alchemical fusion of polarity really happens in the inner consciousness of the Shining One. So, he or she is really entering into his own subconsciousness and fusing with it.
The ancient Shining Ones understood that by staying aware and awake in the moment of descending into sleep, he or she would enter into different state of consciousness. There, through visions and sound, totally different state of reality would be shown. This reality will start to become clearer and clearer until it would become permanent, the more the Shining One would keep awareness in this transitional period. This state of entering into dream was seen and "entrance" or "portal" into "underworld" and other worlds of internal state of mind.
